What temperature should peptides be stored at?

Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored at -20°C to -80°C for long-term stability, though they can remain stable at room temperature for short periods during shipping. Once reconstituted, peptide solutions should be refrigerated at 2-8°C and used within a few weeks. For extended storage of reconstituted peptides, aliquoting into single-use portions and freezing at -20°C or below is recommended. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and always allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to prevent moisture contamination.
