reconstitution
How do you properly reconstitute lyophilized peptides?
Allow both the peptide vial and solvent to reach room temperature for 30 minutes, then sanitize the vial stopper with an alcohol swab. Insert a needle and slowly drip the solvent along the inside wall of the vial rather than directly onto the powder to prevent foaming and degradation. Gently swirl or roll the vial to mix without vigorous shaking, then allow 15-30 minutes for complete dissolution before inspecting for any undissolved particles. Store the reconstituted solution refrigerated at 2-8°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
