How does CJC-1295 work to promote muscle growth?
CJC-1295 is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) that binds to GHRH receptors in the pituitary gland, stimulating pulsatile growth hormone release. This leads to increased production of IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1) in the liver, which promotes protein synthesis and muscle hypertrophy. Research in GHRH knockout mice demonstrated that CJC-1295 treatment maintained normal body composition and lean mass, with evidence of somatotroph cell proliferation in the pituitary.
