Does BPC-157 have any cognitive or neuroprotective benefits?
Research suggests BPC-157 may have neuroprotective properties by modulating serotonergic and dopaminergic systems in the brain. Animal studies have shown it can protect against ischemic neuronal damage, promote peripheral nerve regeneration, and improve behavioral outcomes in brain injury models. The peptide appears to cross the blood-brain barrier when administered peripherally and has demonstrated anxiolytic and antidepressant-like effects in rodent studies. However, comprehensive human clinical trials are lacking, and BPC-157 is not FDA-approved for any neurological applications.
