What is the proper technique for subcutaneous peptide injections?

Subcutaneous injections deliver peptides into the fatty tissue layer between the skin and muscle. Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab, pinch the skin to create a fold, insert the needle at a 45-degree angle to approximately 0.5 inch depth, inject slowly, then withdraw and dispose of the needle in a sharps container. Common injection sites include the abdomen (avoiding 2 inches around the navel), thighs, and upper arms, and you should rotate sites daily to prevent tissue irritation.
